During a pick up game nonetheless

Not tonight
I wrote earlier in this thread, let them play Wed, even in the afternoon. Give them enough time to process what happened.

I remember reading about the aftermath of Darryl Stingley being hit and paralyzed by Jack Tatum. Players on that team said it f'd them up the whole season.......

The biggest concern right now is neurological function even if he now has a pulse. Unfortunately, if he was down for 20 minutes without a pulse, he mostly likely has a massive brain ischemic injury from lack of oxygen going to his brain during the time he was pulseless.
The report that he has a pulse but was not breathing on his own seems unfortunately consistent with this concern.

how long did it take to get CPR started?

Why the F@ck are people fitting over such a bad injury???? Grow up and wish him the best.

These

No, it's not. Re. my posts on Detroit Lions' Chuck Hughes, who died on the field vs. Bears in 1972.
Did they finish that game? Jesus.

Don't see how they continue this game, but if he's in a coma, not sure playing tomorrow helps anything.

This is the league that made the p[ayers play two days after JFK was killed and on the day his funeral was going on.. The AFL decided not to play.
Rozelle later said it was his biggest regret and they learned their lesson after 9/11

I do think their only realistic option is to resume tomorrow now, I don't think it'll be any better for the players really but it's the best way forward all round (including completing the season fairly) tbh, regardless of what happens to Hamlin.

Best case good news is made available before tomorrow, otherwise will still be a tough game for both sides but can't see how they push it beyond tomorrow if the league still want to complete the season next weekend.

What if both teams want to finish the game?

They should take a vote of the players and see want they want to do...if the majority on both teams want to play then they should. if one team wants to cancel or postpone, then that's what they should do

Did they finish that game? Jesus.

Yes, they finished the game. I don't know how soon word was available that Hughes was gone. This was 1972, communication was a tad slower then.

Looks like the game will at least be postponed.
