I’ve said this from the start, he will be back next year. There will be scapegoats and other excuses, but RK is NOT going to eat crow yet on Mayo. Not after making it such a public spectacle, no way. Expect more of the same as this year but maybe with a better roster.The reports are all over the place right now. Most reports are along the lines of “he is probably safe, but if the team doesn’t turn it around in the next couple games then that might change.” Since we all know they’re very unlikely to turn anything around in their toughest stretch of the year, that makes it somewhat feel like another way of saying “he’s not really safe” without actually saying it.
The most recent “take” was from Rapoport this morning which essentially said what I said above.
