Edit: The good news is with Palmer out for a bit we probably just locked up a bye. The bad news is they were the team most likely to beat Denver so now perhaps the #1 Seed is less likely.

That Dalton injury just made it more likely that NE will get a bye. I'm sorry to look at it that way, but the Bengals will drop a few more with McCarron at QB.

It makes it more likely the Pats get a bye but perhaps less likely they get the #1 seed. So it is good and bad. I'd say perhaps more bad than good honestly.

How so? This must be assuming DEN wins out? Pitt still plays DEN, and DEN still has to play KC. Hardly a guarantee that DEN wins out. Honestly, their success or failure hinges on Osweiller.
