Outside of the last 2 minutes of the first half and the last 5 minutes of the second half, when a ballcarrier goes OOB the clock is only stopped until the ball is made ready for play and then it restarts. It's been this way since the early 1990s.

That Dalton injury just made it more likely that NE will get a bye. I'm sorry to look at it that way, but the Bengals will drop a few more with McCarron at QB.

Edit: The good news is with Palmer out for a bit we probably just locked up a bye. The bad news is they were the team most likely to beat Denver so now perhaps the #1 Seed is less likely.
