I tried to play the following year, but started feeling the shocks in my arms & the doctors said I could end up paralyzed, so I immediately retired. My parents helped make my decision, which was the only sensible decision.

If the Bengals hold on tonight and the Ravens beat the Steelers next week then the Ravens are going to be the AFC North champ.

I realize that history says differently, yet I'd rather take my chances with Baltimore or SD. I'll go further and say it won't even be close.

Yeah, that whole thing was ****ed up, I'd honestly be kinda surprised if it's not career-ending. You could make a pretty solid case that it's his 'fault' for having poor technique, but it feels weird to focus on that right now. It did remind me of the Reggie Brown hit in '97. Crazy that that was 20 years ago, one of the few plays from that time period that I still remember like it was yesterday.

Never played again. Lost some feeling in my right hand My neck still has a knot in it all the time. The worst started to fade in a few hours. Did physical therapy for three to six months. I don’t remember exactly. Basically swelling needed to go down and then damaged tissue and nerves needed to heal. For 15 years after my neck could suddenly just spazim Often hurt neck washing my hair. My guess hope is he will recover
