I could not agree with you more….i am done with Jones….not all his fault in the least ….but alot of it is and his mechanics and decision making are some of the worst I’ve seen in awhile!! I would love to see Zappe or Cunningham or even Grier get a chance!!!

Mac looks like someone who has lost his confidence, is trying not to make mistakes, and over-thinking. Sorta like the exact opposite of the "flow state" you want to be in where you are just instinctively doing what needs to be done.

DeVito is likeable at least. No idea what the Giants are going to do after the season. They can't get rid of Jones.

Well we just released one of the QB's. Cunningham clearly isn't ready to be a starter based on what we've seen and idk if they even view him as a QB.

So now if we are trying to trick the Giants it's back to Mac and Zappe who aren't all that different and who can be prepared for pretty easily

If they were comparable, it’ll be Zappe. We know what we have in Mac and it’s not good. If he’s not seriously beating out Zappe in practice then there’s no reason not to play him.

With Dexter Lawrence being doubtful, just run the ball. Any QB will do. Start Zappe, see what he's got.

I can see Bill wanting to get a good eval on both guys, but wanting to protect Mac from having to answer questions from the media about losing his job, so he waited on announcing anything. If he told the team there may have been leaks. Now he can switch to Zappe for the game and assuming Zappe is even a little better, Zappe will be the new starter going forward and can take over as the guy doing the press conferences and Mac won’t have to deal with all of that. Conversely it also keeps the pressure off of Zappe this week and lets him just prep relatively quietly without the media breathing down his neck.
