Only 6 weeks of betting remain for the regular season. Everyone with a bank roll above $50k or in the top 10 will qualify for the playoffs. Amazingly, the current top 10 are the only ones above $50k and would be our playoff competitors. Those midseason prop bets are still in play though. Remember, the bets for division winners and passing leader will be settled prior to the playoffs and count toward your bank roll. The Patriots were +400 to win the AFCE back then and now would be around +100. Nice value for those who bet it! The other prop bets will be applied to your bank roll as they are decided and will help determine the final champion.

Below are the current rankings after Week 12. Our top 3 continue to dominate as @everlong has joined the 100k+ club. And @Chevy continues to hold the #1 spot. The money winner for the week is a brilliant mind and a damn good looking guy, DIngleberry! Thanks to the Patriots and Kendrick Bourne, I was able to more than double my bank roll and climb out of the abyss. Let's see if I can resist the urge to piss is all away this week.

Next year is a long time from now, but you will love what I have planned for next season. The season long prop bets offered in August will be more extensive than the midseason ones we did, and you will all be given a certain amount of money just for the prop bets. Those who finish higher this year will also carry over more money for those prop bets. I really want to recognize @venecol for the time he has put in monitoring the betting threads for errors, calculating the weekly bets for ALL bettors to compare with my calculations, and for being there to bounce ideas back and forth. For those who have borrowed the 10k (or may do so in the future), that was venecol's idea. So, if you are enjoying this game and look forward to playing again next year, please thank venecol as well. I am not sure I would have added all of the betting options and been able to keep up with the game each week if it were not for his help. If thanking someone is not your thing, please give him a reach-around or something.

Betting thread for Week 13 will be up tomorrow. Prop bets will be up as they come available. Since the Patriots do not play until Monday night, prop bets might be later than normal. I will tag you all when they are posted (probably Friday night/Saturday morning).

Thanks @venecol and @Dingleberry, I really appreciate this game. I haven't gambled on sports games for real since Game 6 of the1986 WS. I lost not only the bet but my soul when Stanley, Gedman, McNamara, Buckner and Scharaldi blew that game. So this game allows me to participate in the gambling exercise without the pain of losing real money. Although, it is surprising how "painful" it feels to lose bets. Which i have been doing a lot of lately. Anyway, thanks again...Go Pats!!!

I just did a quick calculation. players started out with a combined $1,000,000 and players have a combined winnings of $989,400. The casino is up $10,600.

Once again - thanks for running this. Eventually @Ian will give it it's own tag, and maybe a spot on the side menu,

Actually, the Casino is doing even better than that! I don't want to reveal all of the details (IRS bastards could be reading this), but there were other players who went broke prior to the final 20 we have now. We pocketed the 50k from each of them too.

Just goes to show why casinos stay in business. And in reality, a lot of our even money bets (+100) would be -110 or even -120 in some cases at a real casino, which further benefits the casino. Because I don't need more ridiculous math, I stick to +100 for the typical bet.

I love this idea! We had over 30 people playing this year. Hopefully next year we get even more participation and a place of honor on the board! It helps having our #1 bettor advocating for us too.

We know the banner is coming for the champion. I think we should have a regular season champ banner and then Grand Champ banner, but don't want to greedy with Ian.

Damn I'm slipping

If I manage to finish in the top 5 I will give away my secret. The One Betting Tip Vegas Doesn't Want You To Know!

Too many bets for me but I've been eating bad beats. Had two pushes on teasers the other day. Missed two the week before by 1 and 2 points I believe. Argh no crying in gambling but you're hot or you're not.

One of my friends is a bookie and he told me once that all the money he makes for a year is made during football. Trying to pick games has shown me what he meant. I can't believe there are people who did worse.

Rough week....going big or going home this week baby!
