WEEI has reverted to form

In trying to escape aggressive stupidity of Felger I have been banging on WEEI but it is worse than Felger. It is like the old days before they had any competition and used jam the shows with commercials.

As before WEEI is now one long commercial interrupted now and again for some baseball jock sniffing....And this is football season. Can you believe that they have Utility Lou on (droning on about baseball drivel) in the middle of an awesome run by the Patriots. The show is geared toward the baseball Neanderthals / extra y-chromosomes like Frank From Gloucester or Yankee Fan.

I would really love to see the reverse and have them devote one day a week to football during baseball season. Ha. And if the Patriots get to the Super Bowl I fully expect them to spend more time on Training Camp than the Patriots...unless something bad happens to the Patriots then they will be happy to cover it.

Felger is fine if you can just roll your eyes like you would when a good friend tells a woman next to you at a bar that he's the great great grandson of Crazy Horse. He's funny, ridiculous, out of control, and can be a pain in the *****, but you just like hanging out with him and his weird little friend that has a voice like a teenage choir girl.

Ordway on the other hand is a cynical, played out fake. He'd rather swallow glue than do this kind of radio and it's starting to show. As for Lou, well, I appreciate the effort...

Plus, Felger and Mazz have a lot more fun than the Not So Big Show guys (except when Freddy is on).

Felger and Mazz are ripping into the Big Show's share hour by hour and they can barely hide their glee. For that, at least, I'll keep listening.

You are referring to my sick obsession with Bad Journalism in this town? Someone has to stand up for the guys who destroy their bodies on the grid iron only to savaged by the glorified muckrakers.

My obsession is a sneeze in church compared to the hurricane Felger's directs toward Moss. Every day this week he has been ranting about how bad he is; just because everyone in the Patriots organization admired Moss does not mean a thing to Felger. Felger has this Ahab-like obsession with harpooning Moss the facts be damned; Felger thinks he knows better than Bill.

Fred doesn't get that the WEEI morning and late afternoon shows are geared for entertainment. They'll get you some info ... the morning interviews are good and the Belichick spots are superb. Sure their arguing gets old at times but if you listen to these shows day in and day out you're missing out on life a bit.

Lastly ... anyone who listen's to WEEI or watches Felger to learn anything is really missing it. Before Twitter and Google they existed for late breaking news ... now it's just something to listen to when in the car ... no more and no less. Some of the members here post scoop before they even know it.

Name calling is how you convince people that your opinion is the correct one. You want to effect change, you have to repsect other people's opinion.

D and C are awful, if I want to hear somebody call me names for political beliefs I hold, I can listen to Howie Carr.

They do have good interviews, but I am hoping that 98.5 gets those interviews in the future.

Sirius Radio is the way to go, Moving the Chains is the best NFL radio I've ever heard.

WEEI is going to talk RedSox because they carry the Sox. They will market the teams they carry, and even though interest in baseball as a whole is dropping, EEI will continue to pander to the Sox.

Absolutely true. Dale and Holey are excellent when they talk football; esp. Holley. This are insightful and tasteful without the neurotic player/coach bashing that Felger and Callahan love to do.

Don't forget Gresh and Zolak; they are excellent when covering football. Some guys because of his appearance but LISTEN to what he says. He is insightful and very well spoken in addition to being fun.

I wish Pete Sheppard would come back...he is one of us..
