We need CB's, a punter and a returner for next year

Not open for further replies.
Along with a OG, OT, DE, 2 OLB's and a WR

Right on! This is not the best 53 man roster in the NFL like

the 2003 and 2004 Patriots. Poor drafts, poor trades, and

inferior free agents have eroded the talent. The worst has yet

to come if the Patriots lose their own prime free agents.

Can you please, please, please stop posting your dreck on this forum? You don't have a f*cking semblance of a clue of what the hell you are talking about. You wouldn't know football if it crawled up your arse and brought you to orgasm through prostate stimulation. Jesus H mongloid, isn't it time to put on the onsie and get your bedtime story? Please donate your extra chromosome to someone in need.

Seconded...

Jays 52. You're just another clown in feety pajamas. You guys jump all over every poster who says negative things about this team. But the facts speak for themselves. That's why they rag on you on every talk show but the ultimate suck up show the Big Show. You guys are Kool Aid drinkers. I know you like to root, root, root for the home team, but you have to accept facts. You guys are so stupid you can't even identify the problems with this team. Or point out that this team continues to miss on FA and draft picks. The Colts have made them their b8tch, the last 4 years and its about time people starting holding this coach and this ownership accountable.

Right, because the Colts go out and sign big name free agents. Or any free agents. Do you have a clue what you're talking about?

We jump all over clowns like yourself who wouldn't know a fact if it ran you over with a Mack truck...

I can guarantee you that Jays53 and myself have a better understanding of this teams needs than you do.

As for the Colts, any hack with half a clue knows that the Colts have been handed the 3 of the last 4 games with bogus PI calls. From the "Face-guarding" on Hobbs to the PI on Butler for going up for the Ball and having Austin Collie run into him from behind..

This team has hit on PLENTY of draft picks. What people like you fail to realize is that there is a lot more to drafting than just saying I want "Manningham" or I want "Suh". There are interviews, there are tests, there are film studies. Then there is player attitude. Which may or may not come out in the interviews. Jeremy Mincey, for instance, figured he didn't have to give it his all during training camp and that he'd be given a year to learn the system. So he was caught off guard when he was cut.

I accept facts. You, clearly don't. You spin them and try and make them into things they aren't. For instance, we don't know how badly Welker is injured. The FACT is that pre-liminary tests can't tell the extent of the damage. The fact is that only an MRI can tell the extent of the damage. And, only if the Pats asked the Texans to use their MRI machine would the Pats know what the potential extent of the injury is. See, swelling can happen so quickly that an MRI within an hour of the incident may or may not show what's wrong.

First of all don't expect much unless there is a labor deal. The Krafts are to close to this and have already said they are not giving out long term deals until they have economic certainty. So Tom Brady could go into his final year. The FA list is pathetic, I mean some of these guys should have been locked up.

Gostkowski, Mankins, Wilfolk, Neal, Bodden, Jarvis Green, Faulk.

Their talent is so thin they can't really afford to lose any of them. But they probably won't sign any of them. They might franchise Wilfolk.

They better offer Ski some real money or he'll be a Cowboy or Texan on day 1. The "genius" will think he can just draft another K.

They also won't delve into FA that much. They should go after a wide out.

But the problems on this team are 3rd Wide out, No pass rush so that could be 1 player it could be 3, poor coverage and they could use more help on the o-line.

They need another good draft. Let's face it, 2010 is waste. Welker's injury won't help. Maybe in 2011 the Krafts will realize they have been cheaping out to long and that will wise them up. I wrote about this a month ago in my well-viewed bleacher article. It's over boys. We're back to the Pete Carroll days. This is no longer an elite franchise.

"They better offer Ski some real money?"

Really? They'll offer him 1-year, about $1-2M. He's a restricted FA, buddy. The Texans can sure as hell go sign them, and we'll go to the bank with their second round pick. Mankins is also an RFA.

Get. a. clue.

"The genius will think he can just draft another K."

Um, were you even alive in 2006?

Just stick with your Special team posting. Ok Clay Aiken.

Geddie - I'll stick to my "Special Teams Posting" (which used facts btw) if you agree to actually get a clue about the Patriots...

His post was MUCH more cogent and relevant to the discussion than this drivel.

Oh Geddie, you're barkin up a tree you can't see the top of sweetheart. I was raised not to pick on handicapped people, but you are truly testing me.

I was raised that if someone is stupid enough to "take a swing at you" it doesn't matter who they are or what they suffer from, you plant them and worry about apologies later.

No, actually, it wasn't. Maybe if you read the whole thread you'd know that Geddie was already telling people off prior to Jays52's response to him.

Instead of sticking up for the idiot, you might do better to know what you are talking about.

Yeah, McMurtry take off your feety pajamas.

They are not an elite team. They're not doomed, but they're not elite. They have a terrible defense and are not going to turn it around in one year. They are getting old on offense including the QB who has now torn his ACL, MCL, broke his finger and ribs in the last two season. He's not a kid any more and this oline better get some guards to protect him.

They've had about 3 good picks in their last 3 drafts so while I think they are a playoff team next year, they are not a dominant team. They proved that the last two seasons.

The Jets right now have a top 5 defense with the best corner I've seen in years, a great o-line. If Sanchez can develop, they are your AFC East champs. And then their is Miami with a good young QB as well, and a young up and coming o line and d line. Plus Parcells is a great picker of groceries. Just look at the team he built here. This team can't show up next and expect the AFC East is there's. That's why 2007 will always hurt. Dynasties don't last forever.

See you Patriot suck ups think this team is still playing for the Super Bowl. They're not. They're a marginal playoff team, the intelligent fans realize that, the suckers like you, wear feety pajamas.

The big question is whether this team will continue to morph into the Harry Sinden Bruins or go back to spending money for top talent.

And if I am Tom Brady I say, I want to be the highest paid QB and if you don't want to pay me there are 10 other teams that will. I gave up money for you and you let the core of this team walk away.

Hey what is wrong with feety pajamas I am wearing a pair right now!!

You forgot Buffalo is also going to start a run for another four AFC championships in a row now that they beat Indy in the snow.

Thanks though I needed a laugh after watching Welker go down today but man I was impressed with how Elderman stepped up and looked great as he has all season. I am really looking forward to our playoff run with Bodden, Faulk, Maroney, Warren, Wendell, Wheatley and Wilfork. Hell I liked what a saw from Burgess at times today aswell.

Well I guess it is time to throw the towel in on the season as the Pats are a mess and Kraft and BB are idiots

Theres kool aid drinkers, realist and over the top negative contrarians that follow the Felgers of the world, I guess we know what camp your in.
This team has needs but it looks like they're the 3rd seed in the AFC, I dont think pete Carroll is walking througbh that door.

I know how to read... his post was pure "boo hoo" drivel. Go back to watching hockey now.

Re: We need CB's, a punter and a returner for next year.

This thread is awesome. No way I could of gave it anything lower than a 1 star, Bravo!

Damn, the nerd squad hit the forums hard tonight!

Bertil - You clearly don't know how to read because if you did, you'd have seen Geddie spewing garbage and attacking people left and right and you wouldn't have been stupid enough to open that pie hole you call a mouth in support of Geddie..

BTW, SFBs, I watch more football now than hockey, though I am slowly getting back into it.. How about you stop posting if you aren't going to actually bring anything to the conversation?

I hate this secondary at times, it makes me sick to my stomach when an opposing team reaches our end zone with such ease, thank goodness with a have a good def line and Mayo otherwise we'd suck at the running game too.

Our passing defense can suck A$ most of the time. I still dont understand the logic of getting rid of Hobbs last year, when he was clearly our best CB and return guy, 2 areas we really suck at.

And please draft a punter already, as good as Hanson was last year, he's really sucked it this year.

Yes, thank god the majority of our front seven is good.....

Hobbs was decent but was a way better STer and a nickle CB at best. I would take Leigh Bodden, Shawn Springs, and Darius Butler over Hobbs any day.

So... I guess if this team wins the Superbowl, then the OP's head is gonna explode, eh?

Reminds me, I need to get more popcorn.

If I could wipe my ass with my computer screen, your "article" would be it.

Right, because Ellis Hobbs was just that damn good. When you say "he was clearly our best CB," it's like saying lethal injection is clearly the best way to be executed.

LMAO!!! Well played.
