One poster didn't think that I was being clear enough.
I believe that our defensive front seven is plenty good enough for a playoff team with one of the top offense in the league. The front seven performance (point allowed) can be counted on to improve and to be fine for the playoffs.
We also have depth at all positions, although we count on our three defensive stars: Wilfork, Mayo and Carter.
The 2010 defense was among the leaders in points allowed in the last half of the season. We've added Carter andAnderson (also Ellis). Ninkovich and Love are improving and playing well.
BOTTOM LINE
What the defensive front seven needs is for their ILB's to recover from their injuries, and to continue to improve.
