And based on that recent endzone drop maybe he DOES need to go down to catch balls.

Yeah, I think that was good analysis above suggesting that his big problem is the extra time it takes him to confidently secure the ball.

In addition, he doesn't seem to have wiggle (few if any TEs do), nor the more common TE abilities to drag guys with them and/or step through tackles (probably a function of balance as much as sheer strength).
