Yes Golden State fans...come partake in our misery LOL

Question from a Golden State Warriors fan • /r/Patriots

Warriors fan here, how do I cope with an unbelievable downfall? • /r/Patriots

Pats fans, how did you get over the 2007 loss? • /r/Patriots

    Warriors fan here • /r/Patriots

By the way, can anyone explain why this crap keeps on happening...apparently every team in the four major sports that has set the regular-season record for most wins, has failed to win a championship! What gives?!

Exactly. I don't think the Pats lose 4 out of 7 against NYG.

Easy to get over. If you got a SO, screw them till you're happy. Do it every hour if you have to. If you don't have a SO, drink and listen to some vengaboys till you're happily singing along and do NOT stop drinking whatever you do. Also do NOT listen/watch any sports radio or sports tv. It took me a year to get over 2007, but I finally did it thanks to ex's, scotch and vengaboys.

i will never ever get over that game. its not every year your team goes 18-0 throughout the season with the greatest qb of all time and lose by one of the most ridiculous catches of all time thrown by the flukiest quarterback. we had a chance for closure and revenge in 46 and blew it again.

I will never forgive the offensive line. And I will take it to my grave that we were cheated out of that win with the clock stopping and the hold and sack on the play

Don't forget all of the other ******** that had to happen for that team to lose. The first down by inches on 4th down, Samuel, etc

Don't wish to rehash that terrible day in 2008, but that throw should never even had counted as Eli was technically "sacked" with 2 Pats defenders wrapped around him (whistle should have blown much earlier).

And don't even get me started on Asante Samuel dropping that interception thrown right into his hands. I kind of wonder how he feels about that now, cuz at the time he just seemed to shrug it off and laugh.

Maybe the takeaway teams in all sports is that setting the regular season record takes a toll on a team that could carry over to the playoffs. Of course there are examples that disprove this, like the Bulls team that won 72 games and the championship. Or the Colts team that chickened out at 14-0 and still lost the Super Bowl.

If I was a GSW fan, I'd be happy my team didn't shy away from setting the regular season record. Losing 3 in a row to lose the title, with 2 games at home, really stinks. On the other hand, if Klay Thompson doesn't have a record setting performance against OKC in an elimination game, they don't even reach the finals. Of course, there's always the 'What if' scenarios, like what would have happened if Draymond Green decided to punch one less person in the groin during the playoffs and had been available for game 5.

For the 2007 Patriots, a bunch have been mentioned, but I'd love to know if things would have played out differently if Belichick could have just focused on the game on Saturday instead of spending a couple hours answering questions about a totally false rumor. Would he have made some different calls or adjustments or made the same adjustments sooner? We'll never know. Thanks, Tomase.

I lived in NYC when we lost that SB. I couldn't sleep the night after the game and kept hearing people yelling "G-Men" from the street throughout the night. Pure torture. I don't think I got over that until Malcolm Butler's interception.
