Vrabel - connected to Titans and Browns players (former HC and heavily involved consultant, respectively)
McDaniels - connected to Raiders players (if they liked him) (former HC)
Brown - connected to Bears, Panthers and Rams players (former OC for first 2 places, and Assistant HC for Rams)
Marrone - connected to Saints players (former OL coach in '22-'23)
Williams - connected to Lions players (former DL coach that Hutchinson loved)

If we were just a few players away from serious contention, I'd consider it, but I don't see him as someone to build the offense around on a second contract. The Jamar Chase factor is real. No way he comes close to living up to his previous production IMO. At best I could see him with about 60 catches and 800 yards.

I think Chase reduces Higgins opportunities and he’s underrated because Chase is so good. If you extrapolate Higgins stats in 5 games without Chase to 17 games you get
105 catches, 1737 yards and 10 td’s
He thrived more without Chase

Meh some guys might've liked him fine, or at least respected his ability. For instance - Brandon Lloyd who came to NE from Denver because he liked Josh McDaniels.

Thought he did a good job with Bourne and Mac
He is with SF as a senior offensive asst
Is a WR coach a promotion
Maybe Josh would want him

Last season it felt like a bunch of volunteers.. Noone still to this day knew what exactly McAdoo did when be was here..

and that is true no matter how many time folks post McAdoo's role which was the development of Milton.

Hoping Houghtaling really did show something with the Titans earlier, because otherwise hiring a Bears o-line coach from last year is just moving from the frying pan to the flame.

Same with our new TEs coach... Didn't see much wrong with the TEs last year; so why make that change?
