Vrabel Press Conference

Hey some Learn from their first time around see the GOAT BB.

They were talking positively about Vrabel. They didn't say this was bad coaching. They just said this is the way he is. He's not cuddly, warm and fuzzy, and he doesn't give positive reinforcement to many players. They still loved playing for him.

I thought the choice of colors in the artwork on the display was interesting. A preview of new uniform colors, maybe...? Very 90s.

I don't think Wolf is as bad as people are convinced he is. Mayo sandbagged him hard. He will get a boost from Vrabel in free agency and will get valuable outside perspective from Cowden, and Vrabel will help him to be assertive and tell people to shut up in the draft room when they are pushing for bad picks.

Would not be surprised at all if Vrabel builds a good coaching staff and those coaches suddenly make Polk, Robinson and Wallace look like decent players. We would look back at the 2024 draft differently then.

I think Vrabel and who he brings in will be telling Wolf who to draft.

Belichick's churlish attitude toward the Patriots this year was surely directed at Mayo and the Kraft's. The mutiny from within and Mayo's Brutus-moves surely rankled Belichick, and it showed whenever he had to assess a Patriots game, especially when he took issue with the idea that the players on the Patriots defense (who were the same exact players as the previous year) were soft.

If he was still in the media next year, I bet he'd still try to be even-handed when assessing their games but he would be positive and talk up Vrabel. Of course, that's not going to happen now.

I am surprised at his answer, i thought he would talk mayes natural abilities up.

Vrabel's version of treating all players, including QB, with the same level of expectations.

I think Vrabel knows he can tell Wolf, "I need this kind of guy, this kind of guy, and especially THAT guy," and Wolf will jump on it. Wolf wasn't cut out to be deciding the direction of the team.

We agree on Wolf, but I am concerned with noncommittal response over who has final say. The line of command should be clear and unambiguous.
