Well, that sucks.
The good news is that Amendola didn't get that designation which means he isn't expected to miss more than 4-6 weeks that Vereen is expected to miss or more (granted it is more now that he is on the in season IR).

Well, on the downside this is longer than we'd hoped he'd be out.

On the upside, this is a much better use of this rule than Shiancoe was last year.

I count on injuries happening every year. It's part of the game. Just about every team gets them. Look at the Steelers as an example. There could be some killer ones but this isn't one of them.
