You are right on here. I had hoped I made that clear in my post, but if I hadn't you certainly have, thank you.

I don't think there is really a campaign by the NFL to hurt the Pats, HOWEVER I do believe that there is a campaign by the large media outlets to paint the Pats with the "evil" image every chance they get. Not because they actually hate the Pats, but because its a good story line, and they don't care if the image doesn't meet the reality. For them its all about the story line.

Wow. What a great comment on a totally awesome post, Patfanken.
I don't know you, but you have cogently put into print the very thoughts that have frustrated me since the ballgame.
I get so upset listening to idiots like Mark Schlereth and frustrated when supposedly more intelligent people like John Clayton still bring up spygate and seem to want to 'take something away' from the Patriots body of work.
If it bothers me so much, I can't imagine how much it hurts BB and the team!

Great post and thanks because i thought my eyes had deceived me badly when whoever was tackled for the Colts at the end of the first half ! I jumped up and said ' yes , tough 3rd down coming' , only to see that it was first down after the game restarted i think for the commercials. I swore they had a good 2 yards shy for the first down !!! When is this going to stop ? Why dont the Patriots Management write about it ? Anway thanks for a great post and agree on all points Ken. Bravo for a GREAT win. GO PATS.

cmon patsox...hes new, hell learn, give him some time...

lets be nice to the new kid...he may have something to contribute...

Fair enough. Don't mind me. Feel free to step up, Mr. xTrox or whatever. Would love to hear your thoughts.

One of my gripes with the ensuing media coverage was that they all jumped on the Colts at half strength injury excuse. Where was the media when we had that excuse? And we did have that excuse brother. They all(majority) picked the Colts to win but they were impressed by them in a loss. And maybe I am mistaken but did'nt our defense give up less points than their speedy gonzalez D? If you listened to that game and didnt hear the score you would think we were getting blown out.

I've also noticed there's been no mention of the horrid officiating, and it's not like ESPN has avoided the topic in the past, either.

Remember the Steelers SB, or the Colts complaining after NE stomped them out 20-3 in the playoffs? ESPN, FOX, and other outlets were all over the complaints of bad calls/bias during those games, but for some reason they could care less about the ridiculous officiating that took place in the RCA Dome on sunday. They also hardly even mentioned the "audiogate" topic, until the league had cleared the Colts.

No, they only care about mentioning Marvin Harrison, Ugoh, and some defenders were out. It's funny that these same mediots fail to mention Eugene Wilson was out, sammy just went on IR, and AD, Watson, Kyle, and Vrabel were banged up. It's also not like this is the first game the Colts have been without some of those players, either.

The other thing they all want to talk about is 16-0. Seriously, they go from talking about Marvin's injury effecting the Colts, to saying "Will NE go 16-0?", and they do this without actually talking about the game itself. I guess the actual games aren't interesting enough anymore
