UPDATED List of Available Free Agents

A lot of name running backs, and wide receivers.

Half the tight ends are ex-Patriots.

Hey, how quickly NFL careers, esp on the offensive side of the ball, can take a sudden nose dive.

It's amazing how much Hillis has fallen throughout the last couple of years. What a waste.

Any one got the info on Sione Pouha? I know he had some injury problems before the Jets released him and he is long in the tooth at 34, but he always seemed to be a solid NT when the Pats went up against him. And he does have the size we need in the middle of the line.

It's like a trip down memory lane seeing all the one-time New England Patriots on those lists.

For those interested, here is the counterpart that lists all the available free agents on defense:

Adam Caplan's post on Atlanta Falcons | Updated best available NFL free agents (defense):

One position that has been brought up in discussion - although I thought that the new guys held their own yesterday:

Casey Hampton
Anthony Hargrove (DE in 3-4)

Will Tukuafu

It's amazing all those guys are considered unfit, for one reason or another, to contribute on an NFL roster. Just looking at the names of D-linemen, running backs and tight ends especially, considering the Pats' needs.

He seems to be ready to play, but he does have ongoing back issues.

Hillis is a powerback, he would have punched it in from 1 yard line in 3 tries. Still remember how he trucked 3 patriots for a TD.
He can catch, block, can be used in short yardage situations. Too bad the Patriots dont bring him for a look, considering the problems at RB.

Kinda surprised that the Pats have continued with Develin when you have more experienced FBs like Jacob Hester, Ovie Mughelli, and Michael Robinson out there.

Apparently, Matt Flynn can be added to the list:

Raiders released QB Matt Flynn.

Matt Flynn's fall from grace in Oakland was swift and humiliating. Now it is complete.

Flynn, the Raiders' nominal starting quarterback less than two months ago, was released by the team Monday, a source confirmed to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. Sports Illustrated's Jim Trotter first had the news
