Update on Seymour's cap number

In January Mike Reiss reported that Seymour's 2006 cap number was $7.42 million.

On March 5th I noticed that the NFLPA.org site showed Seymour's 2006 salary as $2,020,000. It used to show it as $5,020,000. I previously thought that the $3 million salary decrease was simply offset by a guaranteed roster bonus. Today a very reliable source reported that Seymour's 2006 cap number is $4,420,160.

That figure consists of the $2,020,000 salary, $2,394,000 in signing bonus proration, and $6,160 in offseason workout bonus money.

If I recall several posts on this board correctly, New England will not be able to rework his contract before the start of camp. Any thoughts on whether there will be a gentleman's agreement to a rework of the contract to stave off a holdout?
