Unsung Hero - Shelton

I suspect that there are other threads on Shelton, but the reminder is good.

We have a great secondary, with 7 solid starters. We have an excellent set of linebackers, with 3 solid starters and a very good rookie contributor.

It is the DL that we though was the question. We have Bennet, Simon, Butler and Guy.

And then came Shelton, and we are arguably the best defense in the NFL.

I like the fact that he seems to have turned his career trajectory around.
He was an overweight could have been headed for 4 teams in 3 years and then forced retirement.
Now he's likely going to get $30 million guaranteed and multiple suitors next year.
Meanwhile Mike Pennell is still out of a job.

I was about to say we aren’t lamenting letting go of Pennell at all this season so far.

Our d-linemen are good, but we’re seeing QBs at times having 4-5 seconds to throw and still unable to get anything against this secondary. They can be a lot more aggressive with blitzing too with that coverage.
