Hmmmm... tough choice on who to believe, Trollin Volin with a throwaway line line on the radio or Robert & Jonathan Kraft in an on air interview last night. Gotta say the Krafts seemed damned confident and relaxed.

While I wouldn't be shocked if BB retired after the game, I would bet my life that he wouldn't leak the news by tipping off Volin. If he did say that to Volin, he's trolling him.

It's more likely that Volin is trying to follow in the footsteps of his idol, John F'n Tomasse.

Let’s all calm down. Volin said it on WEEI. If you heard him say it, which I did, it was clear he wasn’t even *remotely* being serious.

He actually said something like “uh, yeah, I found out that Belichick is going to retire but I’m holding onto this story until after the game.” That in and of itself shows how much he was joking because any reporter who got such a scoop would never casually drop the bomb on radio then hold it for 5 days.

It boggles my mind how this non-story got legs.
