Sorry if it's already been brought up...I haven't been by in a while. Anyway, this is from today's Post:

TY LAW WANTS TO PLAY FOR NEW YORK JETS THURSDAY AGAINST NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS - New York Post

Here's the relevant passage:

Everybody thinks it's money, money, money," he said. "New England offered me more money than I'm getting paid here. New England offered me a good bit more, but I felt like this was the right situation and Eric was always forthright with me about how he was going to utilize me and let me come in and play. If I want to play beyond this season, I think this is the best chance to do so and the best chance to win, in my opinion.

Wow. On many levels.

I think its funny that Ty Law says that the Patriots offered him more money but BB said that they hadn't talked to Law in months. With TY, its always about TY. It doesn't matter if its the truth.

he said BB lied to him about a contract issue

it was actually after the 03 season....

Maybe Ty is factually correct.
Had Ty signed with the Pats in the preseason, he would've gotten alot more than what he's now getting from the Jets to play a half season.

The rest of it is just to play to his Jets fans. A Jets fan wouldn't want to hear their player say "I wanted to play for the Patriots but the Jets will do." They already basically heard that from Favre.

Mangini sealed the deal by offering to share his food with Law and his starving family.

Now we know that's something Mangini would never do! Share food!

Ty Law is a liar! He's always been about money, period! You really solidified the Pass Defense last night Ty. While it sucked to lose the coin toss and thus the game, it was nice seeing Cassel throw for 400 yards. It was even better seeing you try to cover Moss on the game tying TD. Ha. Go away money grubber!
