I mean a contender to win it. Even be in it.

I think they're a playoff team, but in the AFC it's quite a path to go deep, let alone make the super bowl. A 4 win team the year before still doesn't go that far in this century.

And I don't think the idea of starting with 7 WR's would get in the way anyway.

They've invested a lot of draft capital in WR, and have some possibilities. They've invested nothing in TE for years.

Why keep a JAG? Let's see how things go.
If you are a playoff team you are a contender.

Whatever you say, You will argue anyway, but I didn't consider the Denver Broncos (or Steelers/Chargers) really contenders for much last year.
I’ll argue if you are wrong. If you are in the playoffs you are contending.
What you consider is of no interest to me.

True. There are always teams that surprise and go on a run, but most years there are a couple of teams that really aren't contenders. Mathematical chance, sure, but not a serious threat.

There have been many teams that make a run and/or get the SB with a wild card or 10-11 win division champ.
It’s even more likely now with only 1 bye.
You gotta be in it to win it.
I’m not talking about what peoples opinion of a team is, that’s irrelevant, I’m talking about having a chance.

of course, if you make it to the dance you you have a chance.

Drake interception:

Reminds me of the video from SB49. Brady hit Amendola on a crosser in the back of the end zone. You can see two Seahawks defenders jump to tip the ball and miss by an inch or less.

Thats how close these things are at times. The defenders get paid as well and Wagner is a very smart one.

When did we carry 8?

I thought bringing 7 out of camp last year was too much and Slater was retired.

It was under BB. I can remember us all being shocked.. I'd have to go back into the threads to find it..

The Mac jones playoff game never had a chance, nor did they have a chance. Paper Tiger.
I've already addressed this. If you're in you have a mathematical chance, but every year there are teams that are after thoughts.

I posted this back during the draft iirc but it's worth posting again. Dude affects winning, period.

Henderson looks to read defenses very well. Saw him pick up stunts, CB blitzes and delayed blitzes.. Not only did he pick them up, but he "won" and stoned the person he was blocking.. Including some DEs on stunts.

Seems like a really successful day. Biggest thing I wanted to see (or read, not there in attendance) was the semblance of an Oline, and to see how Campbell fared. Remember last year after the joint practice with the Eagles, the Oline was literally a turnstile and everyone in the media was having a field day. It appears Campbell was solid and overall the Oline was competitive. That is a huge step up from where we were last year. Nice to hear Maye had a good day and overall there were some really good signs on both side of the ball. It wasn't perfect, obv, but it's a process, and we are making strides. Encouraging over all, let's keep it going.
