Let’s burn some cash and draft capital

#4 for AJ Brown and pick 32
3rd rounder for Jeffery Simmons
3rd rounder for Kolton Miller

Result - Premier WR, premier DT, Upper Tier Left Tackle

Use the rest of draft to add depth / competition and kick some butt. This team is so far behind the talent curve that some dramatic moves are needed, otherwise we are stuck with a 10 year plan that resolves around blind hope that draft picks pan out.

I got one, let’s trade up from 4 to 2 and grab Hunter. That’s the only trade I really wanna see. Then possibly trade 38 and a 3rd to move up for a LT late in the 1st. Done, successful draft, I don’t care who else you draft.

I’d like to add some picks next year. Moving down with one of the 3rd rounders this year for one next plus filler sounds good to me.

I think we have too many needs this year to trade to next year. IF they want someone late in the 1st, they’re going to have to trade 38 and one of the 3rds. If they go Campbell at 4, and one of the good WR’s the Pats love is still there at say anywhere from 22-32, they should trade UP, and they’ll need draft capital to do so.

It'd take some serious wizardry to fit that under the cap. I think we can do one, but not all 3.

The trades for brown and miller would be great if the other teams were willing. This draft from all i hear is good for dl/edge/hb. Not so much for wr and tackle. So definitely would like to swing those type of trades at ot and wr.

You can then use 32, 38, and the mid rounders for dl/edge/hb or interior OL. Take a flier at fs. That team looks damn good imo

The AJ Brown trade appears to be wishcasting that Fitzy either did or picked up somewhere. There's really no way that trade can happen, setting aside the question of whether the Iggles might want to.

Anyone else get tired of the video gamers who thing this stuff is even a possibility?

Yes to Brown and swapping picks. You will have ammo to move back up into the mid round and land a T.
No to Jeffery Simmons. Already signed Williams and expect Barmore back. I'm not risking a pick to hoard a DT.
Raiders wouldn't do the deal for Miller. If they were, I'd look at that as a red flag.

Not getting to 2 from 4 without using 38 I’m afraid.

Right, i read about the dead cap theyd absorb from trading him. I figured this was under the assumption that they could somehow get the financials to work and Philly actually was willing to trade him.

Another problem is Schefter was also pretty adamant that brown is not being traded anywhere and i tend to believe him. Philly has suffered whenever brown has missed games.

That is a fair statement Cousin!
As you know I am a Fan of a fair and realistic trade and do my best to build a background about who I am trading and whom I am trading for. Anything else is "un" speculation.

The NFL has become the Not For Fun league and ownership prefers to sit at idle rather than break out of a cool trade, new trend or idea..It's your personnel people they don't want us, the peon Fans telling then that we might have a better choice, It's not about nuclear physics to select or suggest players that might be fun to

This year the Draft class is strange. After the first five six pics, the players left from say #6 to #100 are all third or fourth round talent. Which is not bad but getting a player at #35 and having the same value at #65 is odd.

Yet I am proposing what I feel is a realistic venture for both Teams entering this triist.

Lets play "use pick number four" to get more wampum.

The Bengals cannot afford to keep Trey Hendrickson and we have the CAP space and salary money for a new deal. At year 30 he might still have four more years, The Bengals need more LB and OL help and more pics..I propose trading our #4 pick plus Tavai and Sow (witness protection) for the Bengals #17, Hendrickson and LT Orlando Browm (mediocre but better than what we have and only 28. Who onows what we get at #4.

The next one is controvershal for sure. We trade #4 plus Kendrivk Bourne for the Steelers #21 and 2026 Steelers 2nd rounder .......... George Pickens.Scoff if you want but we had Randy Moss, Coey Dillon , Josh Gordon and a few characterizes.....even AB, and there was not kaos.. Pickend is still a kid bout had 59 receptions, 900 yards and 6 TDS. How did our WR group go? The Stelers can pick and choose a QB. Of course torches and pitchforks for Pickens?

Fair trades? You decide. Cousins.

No breakfast today Dr. appointment. sorry.

You made the case for NOT doing the Pickens trade yourself, Toys. Look at your list of Bad boys. While all were productive contributors, they ALL shot their way out of town after just 2 seasons.

By ALL accounts, Pickens is a grade A *******. Not questioning his talent, but winning superbowls requires having a TEAM pulling in one common direction. Great teams can tolerate having one or two bad people, but THIS is not a great team, it's a developing team who seem to be making positive strides. They might even contend for a playoff berth this year, but they certainly aren't an established winner with an established culture.

I might fight for a Pickens type in a year or two, but he is the LAST thing the Pats need right now

If the Eagles trade AJB before June first it results in almost $60m in dead cap space.

This isn’t happening, at least not at the draft

They cannot comprehend this. All they know is they can do it in Madden and also have Joe Montana and Barry Sanders on the same team.
