Another disappointing trade deadline passes for a lot of teams. Experts were totally wrong predicting there’d be a lot of activity.

Ross Tucker wrote an article in The Athletic about what it’s like to be traded and he mentions being traded from the Pats to the Browns in ‘06. He apparently asked Dante what the team got and Dante said “I don’t know. Probably a bag of balls”.

You don’t think the Talib trade 7 years ago was huge? One could say that trade ushered in this current era we’ve had of having lockdown corners in man coverage.

And although the deadline was 4, word of the trade didn’t get out until nearly 4:30. How did that manage to happen? So stay tuned for another 90 minutes or so.....

If i don't get a trade here in the next hour, that's it for me man. Call my family, tell them I'm sorry it came to this. I have the basic life insurance policy at work so my wife will get about $90,000 for my untimely end. Tell her to spend it on something wise, like faster internet so maybe my children can catch that mythical trade next year before the deadline a little bit quicker than someone else. Someone please arrange for Adam Schefter to speak at my funeral, maybe he can spread one or two trade rumors about me. Heh, I've always fantasized about it. I just want my tombstone to have "F5" on it, so everyone kew i was committed to the game. If you're reading this, please, hold your loved ones close tonight. Just remember, when you get your hopes up for news during the trade deadline, you may just end up being the one that's dead at the end of it all.
