The Patriots would be in perfect position to do if they wanted to. They have 2 firsts, so they could keep the highest one and trade the lowest one. They'd also have cap room to work out a deal...However, I just don't see BB doing it...He always seems to use the last 1st rounder to trade for a second rounder and then a first next year.

Only because NO's is higher.

By NFL rules, a team cannot use a lower pick than their own to satisfy tender/tag requirements.
 
I'd rather sign Brandon Lloyd as a UFA. Use the 1st to draft defense. While Lloyd isn't as good as Wallace. He's cheaper and won't cost us a draft pick.

yeah but Wallace is so much better and younger
