Tough Schedule is great for us

If they lose three of those tough games it doesn't much help their SB run chances. That said I do kinda like the upcoming four game stretch of tough opponents, with the final three games being relatively 'easy' (in that Miami and Buffalo are at home, where they should handle business, and the Jets game just shouldn't be a challenge, even on the road and it being the Jets I just don't see another close game).

Come playoff time my hope is this team is battle tested--given this tough stretch of games--but also riding some momentum--as long as they kick ass in that final stretch. Then it's all about health, just no more big injuries this season, that's all I ask!

Personally I think we can beat any of those teams on the schedule. Other than detroit, none of the next 4 games we will be facing a devastating defense.

Brady should carve up the colts, green bay and san diego.

And if our secondary can keep playing lights out against them we should win.

We finally have the defensive horses to go up against these elite offensive teams

I think the best thing that happened to us is having a tough schedule to prepare us for the SB run

It's challenging, but it's being overrated.

Belichick has Luck's number. In every game we've played the Colts since Luck's arrival, he's thrown 4 interceptions. Until Luck puts on his big boy pants against us, it's hard to be terrified of the Colts.
They started 0-2 and then started celebrating because of how easy their schedule gets.

Fear factor... minimal.

Green Bay has no defense. I just cannot imagine how the Patriots D could possibly allow Rodgers to keep pace with what Brady & Company are going to do to them.

And it's hard to be scared of a team who just got shut out by Miami.

I'll be glad when we get past Detroit injury free and with a W, but I just don't see this schedule as anything uniquely difficult.

Green Bay is a team most other teams have to fear because they don't have our secondary. If we were the NY Jets, the Packers would be a nightmare. We are a really bad match up for them though.

Patriots look to be in a league by themselves right now, and its substantive.

I'm not sure two games qualify for the "every" moniker.

As for the topic at hand, I don't necessarily buy into it. The 2010 Patriots played a very difficult schedule, and it led to a home embarrassment. 2011 had an incredibly easy schedule (with them losing to every team that ended the season with a winning record) and they were a catch (or an ankle) away from winning the championship. I've yet to see a conclusive study demonstrating that a touch schedule is predictive of playoff success.

I think us getting home field advantage will prepare us for a Super Bowl run.

Why does everyone believe we must have HFA or we're doomed?!?! Are fans so scared they can't believe we can win one on the road in the playoffs? We did in 2001... we did in 2004... we even did in 2006... and we lost at home in 2009, 2010, and 2012.

If the friggin' Giants and Packers can win three road games to get to and WIN the SB, then so can the best QB of all time, d%#*!@t!!!!

Because they're still traumatized by losing Gronk 3 seasons in a row and view the post season like a battered-spouse.

Nov 16@Indianapolis8:30 pm
Nov 23Detroit1:00 pm
Nov 30@Green Bay4:25 pm
Dec 7@San Diego8:30 pm
Dec 14Miami1:00 pm
Dec 21@N.Y. Jets1:00 pm
Dec 28Buffalo1:00 pm

The Pats had a brutal 2nd half in 2010, and ran the table against @6-2 Pittsburgh (39-26), 6-3 Colts (31-28), @2-8 Detroit (45-24), 9-2 Jets (45-3), @9-3 Bears (36-7), 8-5 Packers (31-27), @4-10 Buffalo (34-3), 7-8 Miami (38-7). Then they lost in the divisional round to the Jets.

I don't mind the tough schedule. But I think a bigger factor could be Miami and Buffalo playing well, and keeping the pressure on.

All of the blow out this season have been at home, i wanna see how we hold our own against a good team on the road. If we do well, the sky is the limit.

And even the jests should have probably beat GB in Lambeau but the jests had to be true to form and screw it up with that whole timeout thing.

Agreed.

Green Bay might be good, and they have a great QB, but this is a match up league, and we're just a serious problem for a one dimensional, soft, no defense Packer team.

After we thrash the Colts, people will stop overrating this schedule so much.

Detroit is probably a more difficult game then the vaunted Packers will be
