Sure you can say that the Pats were 4-1 without Gronk, but this is a whole different animal today ..facing one of the top 3 offenses in the NFL.

Who will be more missed in your eyes?...Gronk or Kelly?

Gronk. We'll need 40 to beat the Saints, that won't happen..

Big Vince was having an off year before he was injured. Whether it was his ankle or his weight, I don't know, but it was not the same Vince from years past.

As I suspect that Gronk will have limited reps (and possibly effectiveness) in his first game back, I'd have to go with Kelly as he was up to speed and the only experienced DT we had left.

If Gronk was at 100% and in game shape, how could you not miss the best all around TE in the game, more?

Wish we had Kelly to help stop the Saints running game. That's a key for the Pats today.

Kelly easily.

We haven't seen this offense with Gronk in it so we don't actually know what the Pats are missing until he comes back. We don't know the exact affect he will have on the offense until he's playing.

OTOH, Kelly has been an important part of the defense this season. He has been able to get pressure on the QB occasionally and has been good in run-defense. His absence will be a much bigger loss for the Pats.

Easy. Gronk. They are horrid in redzone

Kelly. Even with him at full strength they would've had a hard time containing the Saints today. Without him (and Big Vince) I can't see anyway that they can.

We've seen the Patriots move the ball, score points, and win games without Gronkowski. We haven't seen them be able to do the same without their two top defensive interior linemen.

People seem to think that Gronk would have more than eighty percent of snaps playing 100%, that is not the case, he would be very limited, even in the red zone. Think of the long term not short term.
