It's kind of hard to do anything but back off that report considering he practiced today in full pads.

I didn't hear what was said as far as poor tast and S.Irwin But as far as talk radio goes I remember E.Andleman on weei wasting 2-3 hours on such subjects as toll both workers,or his latest trip to Las Vagus. Which had nothing to do with sports.

nothing really new, just more Felger putting down the Pats and saying Branch has a chance, and Tomase of all people calling up saying he talked to the Lawyer and say he didn't think Branch had a chance. But of course Felger still goes along his line and says Branch has a chance. Now Felger is saying the League will step in and make the Pats trade Branch.

Am I the only one here who refuses to believe that a lawyer would tell a friggin' REPORTER that he doesn't think his client stands a chance? I think Tomase has the correct idea (Branch stands little to no chance) but he COMPETELY fabricated this "statement" with the lawyer just to make his story juicier.

Felger just said that Borges' hatred of Belichick is "refreshing" and that's why he has him on his show. WTF!!!

I don't mind opposing viewpoints, but that's not what you get with Borges. Refreshing??????

How can "hatred" of anyone be refreshing? that is just a ridiculous statement on Felger's part. He has become irrelevant and not worth listening to...

basically he said that if you play with dangerous animals then you are going to die. and he is saying this about the person who died doing what he wanted. i dont understand why make that statement when everyone knows what their jobs entails and are entitled to do what they want? if he cant offer condolences then he shouldnt give career advice to a person who lost his life.

Don't be so sure. Felger is sticking by Wendy Nix's initial report, because he trusts her "feminine instincts." :rowlize: :roal-ayes: :roelize:

Man, this show is dreadful. I've emailed the guy twice now for egregrious factual errors (which he SCREAMS).

Do people actually listen to this regularly?
Apparently some people not only listen but take the time to email him.

Seriously dude, there's lot of crap on the airwaves (both TV and radio) that's not worth listening to. Just change the channel.

There was an old episode of Saturday Night Live replayed a while back. It was with the orginal cast. The host was a guy named Buck Henry. He was doing a radio call in program skit. The topic was some mundane subject. Nobody called. From there he began to change the topics trying to get anyone to call in. As time went on he acted more desparate for anyone to call in. Still no calls. He eventually calls out the topic 'How about killing puppies. Let's get rid of them all. Does anyone have something to say about that?'. I didn't hear the Felger show, definitely no interest either, it seems there is a parallel to the SNL skit. Say controversial and idiotic stuff and see the viewership rise/phones light up. Don't listen to that nonsense show and see how the tune of it will change.......

Felger is a midwest transpalnt hater...worth;less,,What the Pats did to the Colts over the pa. These clowns start totally bullcrap stiries amd run them as fact every year him boiling inside Laugh him off

Actually said he doesn't even think his lawyer believes he can win this. Argument based solely on press release and verbal statements which could be bunk.

I keep thinking that there must be more to it. If their claim is just "the team issued a press release that he was allowed to seek a trade, therefore they are required to accept a low 2nd rounder from a division rival"...the NFLPA bothered filing an emergency grievance for that???

I know, I heard. Laughing and joking about the whole thing. Pathetic! He'll be getting emails on that.

Somebody told me he is relishing being hated, and says to the effect "I'm not a suck up, and you'll see that I'm right in the end".

I also told him to stop yelling. They obviously didn't listen to that part.

What's his email address? I want to rip him good.

The best way to hurt a mediot is by ignoring him. Don't watch, don't listen, don't read him, don't write to him. Managers evaluate personalities on the basis of how much attention they generate, and negative reaction counts as attention.

That comes through pretty clear. Little comments here and there. There's not a doubt that he's trying to pick up listeners by being objectionable.

And, I agree - that Steve Irwin stuff was over the top. I'm 39 years old, and I can't explain how or why, but for some reason his death was upsetting to me. I wasn't real keen about Felger continuing to make a joke out of it.

I agree stop listening, dont write him and dont even mention him on this board. He probably gets off the air everyday and comes here to read about himself.

To think, that about a year ago I sent him an email commenting on how awesome the show was. But now I haven't listened for four months because he turned into a ****** so abruptly.

It's pretty pathetic I cant even listen to sports radio anymore because both stations suck.

Apologize in advance for the OT, but I saw a picture of Steve Irwin with a wife and 2 kids. I did not watch him much, but he was an entertainer with great enthusiasm. Making fun of him for an accident like this is a scummy move -- the kind of thing a loser does to make himself feel better.

I've cut way back on sports radio recently. (OK, partly because of all the agonizing Red Sox talk.)

All of the local content on 890ESPN sucks, Felger and Borges most of all. The national stuff like Dan Patrick and Jim Rome is the only thing worth listening to. Don't get too worked up over Felger though. We've seen this act before when 1510 first started up and a few EEI guys went over there. Nobody will listen, the ratings plummet, the shows get cancelled and Felger crawls back to EEI begging for a job. When it happens I hope they tell him to piss off.

and he continued to use the death incident in his promotion of the football friday show on his radio for season .paraphrasing here "we are excited ,"tickled" about the show like steve erwin was by the stingray fish, what an idiot"....that was really sad. you can make people hate you to be popular but this is desperate.iam sure if he was on some national show he would get fired very quickly for his comments regarding most non sports topics.
