talks about injuries to colts and couldve been a different result with harrison in and colts have to take a moral victory in that.Repeated twice he is looking forward to the next meeting between the two. Also said a lot of people thought it wont be a close game but i did and it was.

So many people wanted the colts to win i wont be surprised if the league tried its best to have the pats lose with all those borderline penalty calls.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

You know it was coming, and it came FAST - the Harrison and the OT and Anthony Gonzalez talk. Whatever. Do we get to play the "Seymour (hobbled), Dillon (hobbled), Maroney (hobbled), Seau (OUT), Harrison (OUT), Wilson (OUT)" card for the AFCCG?

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

Jackson's moral victory will send the Colts to Gillette in January.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

how about the blatant spearing of Moss in the 4th quarter on that long pass?

that defensive player should have been EJECTED on the spot...instead, a meaningless 1/2 yard penalty.

As BB would say...

EFF Tom Jackson

what a classic BB line.

Sooo...when do we get our ring for the moral victory last January? The team had the flu, and a string of injuries.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

15 Yards (and disqualification if flagrant)

1. Striking opponent with fist.
2. Kicking or kneeing opponent.
3. Striking opponent on head or neck with forearm, elbow, or hands whether or not the initial contact is made below the neck area.
4. Roughing kicker.
5. Roughing passer.
6. Malicious unnecessary roughness.
7. Unsportsmanlike conduct.
8. Palpably unfair act. (Distance penalty determined by the Referee after consultation with other officials.)

3 and 6,7 violated on that play....is there any doubt that crew was incompetant?

Yup!

Years later, with one Super Bowl title under his belt, Belichick made another unpopular player decision when he cut safety Lawyer Milloy from the Patriots prior to the 2003 season. The move was roundly criticized and there were murmurs that the Patriots' locker room was suffering as a result. "Let me be very clear about this. They hate their coach," said ESPN studio football analyst Tom Jackson about the fallout from the Belichick decision.

New England went on to win the Super Bowl against Carolina, but Belichick never forgot the slight. According to the book "Patriot Reign" by Michael Holley, when Jackson went to congratulate Belichick after the game, the Patriot coach barked, "F--- you."

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

I ******* hate tom jackson.

Tom Jackson looked like he was crying.

On his piece with Berman.

Kept repeating over and over, if the Colts had alltheir weapons, what might have been.

Also, kept saying how he's really looking forward to the playoffs, insinuating...the outcome will be different.

Gave no credit to the Pats other than Moss.

God I hate these people.

Eff you Tom Jackson and the horse you rode on!

Re: Tom Jackson looked like he was crying.

My apology as I didn't see the original thread.

As for 8...and this is not the topic I know...but can't that also result in ejection and even automatic forfeiture of a game? For instance, if someone on the side runs onto the field to tackle an opposing plaer, or if a helmet were thrown from the sidelines or something?

Re: Tom Jackson looked like he was crying.

No apology necessary, Tom Jackson is such a piece of **** that it requires 2 threads to fully detail his ******* comments.

God I hate these people.

If it makes you feel better, so does BB.

As a matter of fact, Tom Jackson was so far in BB's doghouse that were it not for the fact that Berman and BB are close personal friends, BB would not have done an interview with ESPN after the Panthers SB.

Re: Tom Jackson looked like he was crying.

There are times I like Tom Jackson and there are other times I think he is a jackass. I have noticed Tom Jackson says all the right things ever since the famous "They hate their coach".

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

This Patriots defense is going to improve bigtime.

Will the Colts D improve?

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

I would pay good money for video of BB telling Tom Jackoffson where to go.
