Re: Tom Jackson looked like he was crying.

he looked miserable today on ESPN

Re: Tom Jackson looked like he was crying.

Does anyone else think that Tom Jackson pissed his Peyton Manning underoos when BB told him where to go?

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

Remember when Jackson, on air, said "Are you ******ed?" to Michael Irvin after Irvin said something he disagreed with? You stay classy Tom.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

Tom Jackson is the diseased douche of a veteran hooker from amsterdam whose best days are long behind her. And saying that is unkind to the douche! The guy's agenda is pretty damn obvious. Kiss up to the Colts and downgrade the Pats as much as humanly possible while trying hide his fairly obvious vendetta against BB and all things Patriot. I'm sure the only reason he still has a job is that he hasn't been caught plagiarizing yet. Ever since he got owned on "the Patriots hate their coach" comment, he has been deadset against the Pats. I bet it was just killing him inside that he didn't get the chance to gloat and crap all over the Pats organization verbally because the Colts lost the game!

Jackson's a moron. He doesn't know what he's talking about half the time.

The Blitz would suck if it weren't for Boomer, I can say that.

We need to start making some EFF You T Shirts.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

wait, so now it is important how many points you win by?

Boomer is the only thing that makes the blitz cool. And I think he is the only one that thinks the Pats a great team and is not afraid to say.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

If that was a moral victory, Jackson needs to relay that to the Indy lockeroom.

I think some of these guys are being selfish. Boomer didn't play, so his legacy doesn't get knocked down a peg with each new Patriots success.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

Tom Jacksom has now jumped Steve Young on my list of idiots.
First he picks the Colts to win all week. Then he goes on to say how the game was 'a lot closer than people expected.'
All the talk of moral victory, Harrison, etc, yet not one mention of the horrendous, biased, lopsided officiating. Not even a passing word.

It really makes me question the level playing field of the NFL.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

I can only wish that the Colts enjoy many more such moral victories in the years to come!

Yo, Tom Jackson, GFY!

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

I can't stand the contsant back and forthing of putting people media people on the good or bad list based on what they've said in the most recent article. But Tom Jackson surely deserves to be on the all time bad list for his anti-Pats agenda.

That said, "moral victory" were words that I thought of too after this game with respect to the Colts.

Pats had a chance to blow them out of the water and demoralize them for a potential AFC championship rematch. Instead, the Colts showed for 52 minutes that they could hang with us. They played smash mouth football, hit us hard, and threw a very solid defensive wrinkle at us that could have made the difference. Dungy's game plan was Belichick like.

I think there were bad calls, and hope that if they meet again, Dungy has shown us more than we showed him. If we can go at least 6-1 and lock up the razor for the playoffs, we'll be in good shape. But I don't think the "moral victory" angle is a wrong one to take after this game. It's one I think I might take if I were writing about this game and what it means in the big picture.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

I don't think that anything short of a real victory is considered any form of "victory" if you are the defending champions.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

One moral victory and $2.00 will get you a delicious cup of hot coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, medium size.

Re: Tom Jackson already talking "moral victory"

Jackson at it again. Thank God for Keyshawn Johnson, who pretty much said something to the effect of, "those guys [Harrison, Ugoh, etc.] don't play defense, and you still have to stop Moss, Welker, and Stallworth, and at the end of the game, the Colts weren't able to do that".

I couldn't believe how sad Jackson looked. You'd swear to God he had bet his house on the Colts winning outright. Even Berman had to talk him off the ledge.

A lot of these commentators are clowns anyway, so I don't take them seriously. However, Jackson's reaction was odd nonetheless, considering my low expectations for his ilk.

Regards,
Chris

Hahaha, I had literally the exact same thought when he came on. "Was his house on this game?"

This is only slightly more of a moral victory than it was for the Pats to know that they could almost beat the Colts in Indy while playing without about a third of their key starters, half the team having the flu, and Reche Caldwell. I don't think any Pats took any sort of moral victory from that.

Inadvertantly, Jackson might be giving the Pats more respect than ANYONE else in the media. After all, he must think an awful lot of the Pats if it's anything other than hugely disappointing for the defending champs to lose at home.

I actually think Jackson is ok; WHENEVER HE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PATS; he does have a nice fluid voice that counter-points Boomer well.

Content wise he becomes such an immediate tool whenever he does talk about Pats though.

I loved the comment on the Manning fumble. 'manning fumbles the ball... and the Patriots can't figure out where the ball is; ____ recovers for Indy.'

Gee; you couldn't just say the Indy player was CLOSER TO THE BALL, was ABLE TO MOVE QUICKER TO THE BALL, had to make it sound like the Pats are all inept. Just more of his sub-conscious self coming out.

All that much more beautiful the day after. Seeing his sourpuss have to suck it up.

Keshawn has surprised me by being very good on the show - he is a keeper. Boomer is the heart of the show. The rest are all replaceable:

Ditka is starting to go senile - he couldnt get out a whole sentence without slurring his words this past weekend. I thought Parcells added 1-2 good comments/insights - especially talking about the 3-4; but he is still a tool too and I would hate to see him as a regular.

Didn't see one single review of the questionable calls on the highlight reels - all the watercooler folks at work today who only saw highlights thought the Pats just got lucky because of injuries - that is all they could talk about..... because that is all ESPN talks about.

Peace my Brothers. All is well. The Way is wide open to another SB victory and final triumph over the Haters. Vindication is at hand. No need to trouble youselves overs the bleating of ****roaches.
