I think that's the question the Patriots are faced with.

People were saying Brady was hitting his ceiling at 33 but somehow at 38 hes better. Now Im not saying he'll be better at 42 than now but he might not be much worse.

I think the Patriots are thinking that lightning almost never strikes twice so they are going to think real carefully about when to replace him.

I have no idea how much his lifestyle can slow the aging process but it goes without saying that Deflategate will have him wanting to play absolutely as long as his body allows. It should be an interesting ride, he should be showing his age any time now but it hasn't happened yet.

If Brady finished his career outside of New England, it would probably be for the team he grew up rooting for: San Francisco. But I really rather not think about the end, currently enjoying the run he's having now with us and will be profoundly sad when it's over.

Warren Moon was a very good QB well into his 40's Farve was Farve well into his 40's. Neither man approached his craft and career with the combination of diet, training and lifestyle that Brady has.

Nolan Ryan was throwing no hitters in his mid 40's, had the same throwing coach as Brady.

Injuries are a part of football survival, so that is always the X factor with any football player.

I honestly believe that the Brady/Garoppolo decision will be the most important personnel decision any franchise has faced since Brady/Bledsoe, if only because Brady will be 40 in 2017, and heading into uncharted waters. At a minimum, if they haven't resolved it by the start of FA in 2017, it will be one of the big storylines of that spring/summer (as if other fanbases weren't sick enough of hearing about New England ).

But d%#*!@t, why don't we have carbonite yet? [Then again, if it existed in 2008, Matt Cassel would be in storage right now. ]

If Brady is running towards the sideline, Harris had better just let him run out on his own. No hit needed. No history repeating itself this time. Let the Pats make the decision on their own.

Blanda didn't play in a time where the average weight of the guy hitting him was 310 pounds and the average height of the guy hitting him was 6'5". Sorry, but this isn't happening. If it were likely to, you'd be able to give more recent examples. Brady takes great care of his body, but the body just doesn't recover from a beating in the 40's like it does when you're in your 20's and even 30's.

It wasn't really a prediction as much as a wish.
