Interesting take but I think it has been dumb down because they are so few good QBs that coaches in the NFL are trying to maximize the floor of the QBs that enters the league.

The only guys that probably fit Tom Brady’s view of what a QB should be doing are Mahomes and Rodgers.

So, a lot depends on the coach

I think this pendulum will quickly swing back.

There is something to be said for both approaches. Simplify and let players play or getting the edge by out smarting and out working.
