i wish a nice recovery
hoping nothing serious
get well coach !!!
all the best - take care

He's most likely fighting to keep his job.

Sends a message to the team for sure

The question is will they reciprocate that message? Like I've said elsewhere if money can't motivate guys like Revis and his ilk...why would this do it? Not saying it couldn't happen, but I just think the entire team has quit.

I think some players will. Players like Revis.....doubtful.

If that's true the dude never had a chance to succeed.

Wish him well healthwise.

Going into the season with Pick6patrick sealed their seasons fate.

Great job by Charley Casserly. He recommended the GM and coach to Woody.

He's poison.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Coach!

I hope it's just that all the crap you have to take in as HC of the Jets disagreed with you.

As he is going to the game, I will now offer the following from Necessary Roughness (as I could not find the video for it):

Wally: I don't wanna put any undue pressure on you guys, but Coach Gennero's last words were, win or I'll die.

From the Facebook page: Bowles began throwing up, experienced chest pains, back pains, and after he was given medication, he could not keep it down, which is when Jets officials became extremely concerned and took him to the hospital.

So it was the fact that he couldn't keep a medication down that gave them the clue that maybe he should be in a hospital?!?!

Best Wishes, Coach Bowles! I hope you make a complete recovery.

And, I join those who apologize for any idiot comments about your health made in this thread.

NY Media this morning are saying that a heart attack has been ruled out. Still, vomiting along with chest and back pain are not good symptoms.

Best wishes and Prayers, Coach.

Seems like a very classy person. I wish him the best and hope he doesn't over-extend himself today.

People like Todd Bowles who keep all the emotions inside are more apt to have these type of stress problems than folks like Rex Ryan who emotes it and feel better as a result. Poor guy probably has had this building up for a while.

Godspeed and take care today, Coach Bowles.

Note that it said the JETS took him to the hospital. Shows the craziness of NFL coaching that HE didn't decide to go on his own!

.....on the CBS pregame show, Evan Washburn reported from Gillette that there will be NO medical monitoring of Coach Bowles on the sideline during the game today.

Idiotic, but sadly, widespread toughguy mentality. What are some people afraid of admitting that we are all flesh and bone? It's no sign of weakness if there is some medical staff keeping an eye on him during the game. He's fooling no one - - everyone knows he was in the hospital overnight.

We all whiff on our last breath. Might as well have common sense.

Glad he's okay and going to be at the game today.
