Today is 10th anniversary of the Butt Fumble

Even better, it all happened on their home field and on national TV on Thanksgiving Day!
So many humiliated fans having to drag their sad arses out that stadium knowing they were now a national laughing stock.
It was bad enough when their close friends and family had to pity them, now they knew the whole nation pitied them.
Ignominy, indeed!
It broke Fireman Ed.

Somewhat lost in the ignominy of the Butt Fumble is Steve Gregory scooped it up and took it to the house which gave the Pats 3 count em 3 tds in 52 seconds!
Along with 35 pts in the 2nd qtr.
You can't make this **** up
Despite the fact that the Patriots had possession for less than 3 minutes.

This is such an important part of NFL lore.

The butt-fumbled football, Sanchez's helmet, and Brandon Moore's game worn pants need to be in Canton.
Agree!

We're so lucky we have the ability to choose between:
1) A play where we executed so well we totally embarrassed the sad-sack Jete
2) A game where we executed so well we mind-f***ed the Colts coaching staff into trying to run an absurd play.

The outcome was the same: utter humiliation for our opponents.

The greatest day in American, perhaps World, history.
True. Has anyone else noticed how ever since the butt fumble game ended, everything has gone downhill? It was the peak of human civilization. The only thing that can set things right is another butt fumble.

From Mark Sanchez to Zach Wilson(are they really the same guy?), the laughable antics of this clown show never cease.
But this is a special day in Jete history.
Raise a glass of your favorite beverage and rewatch the Butt Fumble.

Mark Sanchez was able to get to the AFCCG with a great defense. I am not sure the Jets will make the playoffs with Wilson.

I mean at some point you realize on some existential level that you, and we collectively as a civilization, witnessed what was the single funniest thing that could ever conceivably happen in any universe. Nothing else will ever match it. Not to be nihilistic or anything, there will always be more stuff to enjoy. But there will never be that again. And that’s a bit sad.

They should be arrayed in front of a White/Blue/Silver forklift with Vince on the side.
