Regardless, 9 people dying in a helicopter crash is horrible.

Seems odd to go after TMZ, given the two reports of theirs that I saw (On both their main and TMZ Sports handles) have been both confirmed; that Kobe was onboard and then an hour and twenty minutes later that his daughter was...

Certainly there were misreports; that Rick Fox was on there or that all four of Kobe’s daughter were....but neither of those emanated from TMZ.

Then again this is LA Law Enforcement we’re talking about. I’ve lived in equal sized large cities in Third World countries who are less Keystone Cops than the LAPD/LA Sheriff are.

Agree. For what it's worth though, which probably wont be much, someone pointed out in the comments that she had actually already referred to them as the Los Angeles Knicks earlier in the broadcast so she was actually mixed up evidently. Could have just been a mistake, but that's not a mistake you're allowed to make.

For what it's worth though, which probably wont be much, someone pointed out in the comments that she had actually already referred to them as the Los Angeles Knicks earlier in the broadcast so she was actually mixed up evidently. Could have just been a mistake, but that's not a mistake you're allowed to make.

It sounded like nakers to me, kinda rhymed with the way she followed up “Lakers” but who knows maybe we hear what we want to hear...

I saw that too. I get it everybody makes mistakes. But in this social media era we live in, a mistake like this gets you fired.
