This is making me ill, I can't remember ever being this affected by a celebrity death.. this is sad stuff, what a senseless tragedy..... cant even imagine what the mother/wife is going through right now

This man defined competitiveness and love for a game. He was literally the reason why I ever liked basketball. Also had the opportunity to meet him a few years ago when he bought out my work (Dave & Busters) for his daughter's basketball team party. He made sure to smile and shake everyone worker's hand before going and spending time with his daughter. Such a good dude. Such an inspiration. RIP Kobe (edit: and Gianna!), praying for his family.

And Michael Jackson. And Heath Ledger. And yes, Robin Williams.

Those are my "remember where I was when I heard the news" ones from the past 25 or so years.
