Time To Move On From Zappe and Shuster

And the magical decision to keep Butler on the bench and let the goof troop get diced up by Nick Foles instead.
Butler sucked in 2017 and after that in Tennessee. They literally benched him for their nickel CB Adoree Jackson.
You called Brissett a "good QB". Your words.
Good or bad at that position is relative to the team around them. In a vacuum I'd rate his skills as good at best.

Depends how great the collaboration station did on the team around the QB. I'm not even sure Brissett will be the starter.

Average/good QB's have won Super Bowls in the past though, quite a few have... it's a team game.
I just don't want to waste our Defense if guys stay healthy Judon - Barmore - Dugger and Gonzo are all Elite. We should be in a lot of games.

There is nothing good about Biscuit he's just average.

Mahomes in a "down year" for him won the Super Bowl.

This is Brissett's arm. I wouldn't expect much more than this.

Biscuit have a very slow wind up you can see that on tape yuck.

I agree, run the ball, play great defense and don't turn the ball over at the QB position... that alone will win you games.

It starts with the offensive line being good... that's not a given at this point.

There's 32 team with an average of two QB's per roster, in a league with 64 QB's minimum Brissett is at least good.

You're discounting how many average and bad QB's there are in the league.

I think we'll find a serviceable LT between Wallace - Anderson and Chewbacca.

I'd include Zuri Henry, Calvin Anderson and possibly Tyrone Wheatley in that mix.

Yup. Also showcased very well his lack of an arm. He's a journeyman backup for a reason. I think a QB ought to be at least a starter before he's called "good"..

I wouldn’t say Brisset’s “good”, but would say he’s an ok bridge. He’s definitely not the second coming of Jesus/allah/brady….just someone to hopefully keep us in games until Maye is ready. Could be day 1, could be week 15….

I hope it's not the latter.

He's good enough to be a journeyman backup and that's it. For me, I would only use the label "good QB" on someone who is at least a starter. For example Dak Prescott is a good QB.

I don't think anyone wants him badly enough to trade for him. They'll wait for him to get cut.
Or I'm also open to the idea of letting zapp stay on the PS for use as a tackling dummy.

And to your point just Imagine the " good" QB in Prescott will likely see north of 55 million next season. By the time Drake see his 2nd contract will be well in the 60 Mill. Range.

So far so good, the offense knows it has a real OC and real OL coach. So that's already a plus!

Even if he did he was still better than whatever that was on the field in Minneapolis that night.

If he was good he would start.
