I don't know why people WANT Onwenu to play RT so bad?
Sure, he can do it. But it's not his natural fit, and it only makes RG weaker.
As has been stated for years (and confirmed by Brady), the middle 3 are the most important.
All tackles are going to get beat, and edge schemes are going to win sometimes.
Onwenu is huge, and he's not as quick in open space.
So, the question is - is Robinson at RG better than Wallace or Okra at RT?

Maye has the tools, but give the kid some time to marinate. We will all be happier for it.
Given the concern a couple of weeks ago, it is great progress that Maye has passed Brisset before the season has started. No more talk about him sitting on the bench because isn't good enough. Stick with the plan, let Brisset start the season and take it from there.

I think there is probably some value in sitting him 4 games. Let him see Brissett against the Jets and 49ers defenses in week 3 and 4. They will throw looks on film that Maye has probably never seen and get the wheels turning a bit. After those games, there’s really no seriously tough defenses left on the schedule besides the second Jets game.

Impressive spot for Barmore.

Looks like they had Guy as perhaps the worst DT in the league, with Godcheaux not too far behind.

Yeah.. as guy and goddy weren't interior rushers they were run stuffers and space eaters. Those guys make it possible for guys like Jennings to make plays against the run

Chart says they can't stop the run either.

I'm not saying the chart is gospel, just found that bit curious.

I was wondering the same thing, but I am chalking it up to them taking on double teams and not actually making the tackle. Because of those guys other players are more proficient at stopping the run. This is just my guess, I have no data to back it up.

The chart says Godchaux is about 50% on run stopping and only 10+% on pass rushing. Godchaux is basically useless on pass rushing downs if you believe PFF.

I read it as being on the bottom left quadrant means you suck on both counts.

Though I have no idea about the validity of how they measure it. I know some people swear by PFF and others scoff at it. I'm not about to stand on that hill and catch stray bullets.
