Other teams' coaches have talked about how hard it is to use the reps to get the starters ready for a game and also have reps for the developmental QB.Sort of odd comments from AVP. He says he'd "like to get reps with Drake and the 1s." Well... then do that? Aren't you the OC lol? Makes it sound like Brissett is somehow a roadblock that needs to be removed or something...
A nine year QB vet that knows this offense should be able to get by without all the 1st team reps. The fact that he can’t already show how bad a QB Brissett is.Other teams' coaches have talked about how hard it is to use the reps to get the starters ready for a game and also have reps for the developmental QB.
Well, other than one of the TEs, I don't think he's worked with any of the other offensive starters, so maybe they should work on their timing?A nine year QB vet that knows this offense should be able to get by without all the 1st team reps. Yes Brissett should get by without them. The goal of this franchise should be 100% to develop Drake Maye not getting Brissett the Tom Brady treatment. If that means Brissett gets less reps with the first then so be it.If that were true, no starting QB in the NFL would be taking all the first team reps, but that seems to be the norm around the league. Tom Brady was here for almost 20 years and he STILL took all the first team reps in practice. He could probably write the playbook backwards in his sleep, but those reps are still valuable. Claiming Brissett should just be able to get by without them isn't fair.
While I wanted Chuks, Anderson or Wallace to play RT…it looks that may not be the case for game 1. I agree this is a potentially solid line…I like this one too, or with wallace at LT over chuks
