Here's my recurring analysis

As he does every year, Belichick kept the 53 guys he felt would be best able to help the team win.

Whether he's cut every player from the 2007 draft, or cut nearly every player from the 2007 team is irrelevant - Belichick won't let sentimentality or his ego dictate who is on the team.

He'll cut a 1st rounder and keep an undrafted free agent if he thinks their talent, work ethic, and willingness to follow orders and play within his scheme warrant their making the squad or being cut.
