This whole thing actually worked out pretty good...

Well, I guess that polarizes the two schools of thought on this then.

Group #1 is glad to keep the coach and give up the pick.

Group #2 would rather have the pick and lose the coach for a couple of games.

Group #1 is probably more focused on winning right now.

Group #2 is probably thinking more about the long-term health of the franchise and the future pick.

No right or wrong answer here, IMO. Just differing perspectives on which scenario represents greater value to the team.

For the record, I'm concerned about this year, but even if suspended BB could still work with the team to prep them during the week. It would be his game plan, and I trust he has the staff to succeed tactically if he's not availble at gametime. In any event, it's an acadamic discussion. At leastw e still have the SF pick, may they lose al their games ignomineously from here on out.

The best thing to come out of this was several years worth of bulletin board material. All in a few days.

The actual penalty could be a lot worse. You are right.

The worst part about this is the image of the Patriots is tainted. There will always be that question mark (mainly from the ignorant media) about past games, and any loss this year the media will turn and say it was because they weren't cheating.

Let's just win the whole thing and shut everyone up!
