This upcoming offseason...

I kind of think Belichick let personal feelings get in the way with Marcus Cannon which led to the contract extension. He, rightly so, admired his courage and resilience coming back from cancer to play football and may have taken those intangibles above his talent level. Kind of like Bruschi during his final years. This just didn't work out.
People forget that Cannon gave the Pats some really solid play in 2012 and 2013, when he was called upon to fill the RT role in an otherwise fairly healthy and efficient OL. I think they paid him with the expectation that there's nothing wrong with 4 starters plus Cannon. The problems come when you try making an entire OL of Cannon-quality players, which I'd say wouldn't be a completely inaccurate description of that group right now.

O-line is the #1 need, but I don't expect a spashy move. A mid level signing or day 2 pick at OT may be all this line needs.

I think a steadier RB is a necessity. I am not enamored with Blount, and can't expect Lewis to return to his first half form. Boldin and White are nice serviceable pieces, but this offense needs a chain mover.

I hope BB gives Brady some more weapons this offense on the offseason... mainly O-Linemen and a big body WR...and possibly a bruiser of a running back.
