Things to watch for in the Tampa game

1) is either Gute or Cassell worth keeping?
2) running game

I hope Lynch plays. He says he learned the entire playbook in one night.

I would like to see CJ play with another QB then Cassel.

I hope Slater improves on last game's returner performance. That will be a good sign.

Lastly, I want to see Lamant Jordan tear it up again, but I think Morris will get a lot more reps this game.

LaMont Jordan hasn't practiced all week so I doubt he plays.

I'd like to see Bill stretch out Gost's leg a bit and attempt a few 45+ yarders.

Does anyone know if this will be broad casted on SopCast of TVAnts?

.

Since Mike Shanahan has admitted to using lip readers during games, it wouldn't surprise me if Lynch already knows some of the plays already...

I would like to see some offense from the TE position.

Will be watching the young LB's and the CB positions.

Is there a cause for concern or is it because BB wants to see the other RB's get some game-time?

QB play to hopefully have someone emerge as a clear backup...although if brady was truely hurt i think BB and the boys would of picked up an experienced QB

Unlike many I thought Cassel did not look terrible in the first preseason game. I will not decide how adequate as a second stringer he is until... He gets to play with the #1 Oline, and even more important some NFL receivers.

No matter who you are, a receiving crew of CJax, CJ Jones and Ray Ventrone are questionable. Ventrone, the converted Safety actually looks like the cream of that crop.

He had orders to get CJax some catches and threw at him several times. So did the other QBs. Result 9 passes attempted, one completion for minus two yards on a bubble screen, that CJax must be telegraphing somehow, as it fooled no one of the opposition, the three or four times they tried it with Cassel, and Gutierrez.

The O-line when not a sieve, did not generate any holes for the running game. Unlike KO'C who was allowed to run around or Gutierrez who rolled out on occasion, Cassel has learned that playing QB in the NFL means staying in the pocket, not running, and throwing the ball or throwing it away.

I've never seen such a bunch of wrongheaded people in my life. This is game 2 of the exhibition season and it's down in Tampa. Each and every one of you should be ashamed of yourselves for missing the only truly important thing to watch during this game:

The Tampa Bay Cheerleaders

but of course

I was going to say Morris and Jordan, but now I'm hearing no practice for Jordan this past week. Bummer.
In that case, O-line.
And Safety. I'm hearing that Spann's playing well. Now with Lynch in the mix (although we probably won't see him tonight) I'd like to see a bit of who they're using, and how.
And some more of Crable.
Is Richardson still banged up?
Probably see Cassel play his way onto the waiver wire.

It's on live in the UK

That's how much the NFL has taken off over here.

Britt, Cassel, Crable, Gutierrez, Guyton, Hobson, Jackson, Mayo, Redd, Richardson, L.Sanders, Spann, D.Thomas, (Welbourn?), Wheatley, Woods, Yates

These are players that are either unproven and important to this season, or bubble players that may not make it.

O'Connell, too, I suppose, just for fun.

It's going to get really interesting in here if Cassel has a superb game.

I'm rooting for Cassie or Gutz to do well. There is no available vet QB who could come here this late in camp and be ready do an adequate emergency job were Brady to miss a game or 2.

I'm kind of happy that Brady isn't playing.
We need to see which one of these QBs are worth a roster spot. The battle is between Cassel and Guiterez, IMO.
I will also be watching the following players on Offense:
Chad Jackson
David Thomas
Offensive Line

As for the defense, I would like to see some improvement in the secondary. We gave up to many big plays to the Ravens, IMO. I hope to see some improvement out of our coverages. I like the run defense last week. I hope that it continues.
