These playoffs feel like 2003... I hope

Just an interesting tidbit I realized right now and didn't know where to put it. The only person to have a rush in the 2012 AFCCG who is on the team right now was Shane Vereen. The only guy to catch a pass who is still on the roster... also Shane Vereen.

That's incredible. There literally isn't another RB, TE or WR on the team right now who appeared on the stat sheet in that loss two years ago.
That is nuts! Really. I would have guessed Edelman caught one in 2012, but I guess not. Maybe he was hurt then.

Edelman had one catch in the 2012 AFC Champ game

In the AFC Conference Championship Game, on January 22, 2012, against the Baltimore Ravens, Edelman played on 27 of 67 offensive snaps at wide receiver, catching one pass that converted a third down attempt, and 27 of 73 defensive snaps at cornerback, often covering the Ravens' Anquan Boldin; Edelman was credited with a forced fumble on the Ravens' final drive.

That was the 2011 AFCCG.

ya your right..i was trying to remember when he broke his ankle..got the years mixed up

Would you consider Gronk, Edelman, and LaFell to be an upgrade over Hernandez, Welker, and Lloyd? I would, but maybe not by the light years that others would.

100% yes. Gronk over Heranadez and probably Lloyd combined...

Substantial. The only one that is even debatable is Welker and Edelman, but Wes' hands tip that scale in Julian's direction. The other two are significantly better.
