The Staff Can Indeed Evaluate Our Wide Receivers

I don’t buy that. I would agree if his production was average and held back by the QB but his production is almost non existent. He has to be accountable at some level.

This is a qb who started 11 games a couple years ago with Amari Cooper catching 1180 yards and Donovan freaking Peoples-Jones catching 838 running the exact same system.
He was sacked 24 times all year in 2022, a similar number of attempts extrapolating 2024 he'd be sacked 46 times. No comparison, he only throws short here, he had time there to throw to outside receivers in 2022.

Polk on tape, based on his play, could have 5-6 receptions a game in the 2022 Cleveland offense, he's doing his part. Stats do not trump play by play analysis.

Production is production. “I think I saw”, “coulda, shoulda, woulda” means little.
I trust the fact that a WR in any offense who is playing very well will do better than 15 yards a game more than I trust your analysis. Because you say so, doesn’t change my mind, nor should it.

I just saw LSU wide receivers drafted historically and boy ! Their first round draft picks have around 100% hit rate. Even second rounders and some late rounders are pretty decent. Should we be poaching some of their wr scouts and wr coaching staff. Seem to be doing something good.

Obj, Justin Jefferson, Lamar chase, dj chark, Malik nabers, Boutte , Russell gage, Jarvis Landry and of course (one wr that I initially missed) Brian Thomas Jr.

I'll take nuanced film review over reading a stat sheet any day.

I remember a game where Brisset started in 2016, Edelman had 1 catch for 15 yards and Gronk had 1 catch for 11 yards. If KCSVEN reviews that game and says those players actually did a lot of good things but the QB couldn't deliver, would you argue with him then?

When did Edelman have 78 yards in 7 games.
No i would take anyone’s opinion that a guy who put up 78 yards in 7 games did well. The conversation here involved a couple of still shots saying “look he’s open” the basic rules of thumb are 1) show me and 2) if your analysis contradicts production your analysis is probably wrong.

No, I'm saying you can't judge Polk based on stats playing in this offense with Brissett. You can't judge any outside receiver in this offense because the QB is 100% incapable of throwing to his left past 10 yards. How many other Qb's can't do that?
You also have less time to throw than any other team, thus outside receivers are less likely to have time to get the ball.
On tape he is a solid #2 receiver as a rookie. Stats are not telling you much of the story on the receivers in this offense, they are completely meaningless to judging the receivers.

And would you care to reconsider?

But he's been Proven to be Dead ****ing Wrong about Polk; so...?

Receivers cannot be evaluated with Brisset playing qb. He sucks at getting the ball to Douglas which is a fail

If Brissett Starts we are not beating Tennessee.

Isn't that something your quickest guy to uncover and Brissett can't find him. What a pathetic QB.

He gets open too quick, Brisset can't process and throw that fast
Brissett reading the Defense.
