Something Patriots fans agree with Woody about:

But Jets owner Woody Johnson has a different kind of take.

“We passed on him,” Johnson told the Fox Business Network, via the New York Daily News. “Our fans expect us to look at every opportunity.” Johnson went on to heap praise on Mark Sanchez.

In Johnson’s mind, the Jets actually decided Sanchez was a better option than Manning. Mark Sanchez over Peyton Manning. For real.
Woody Johnson is saying the Jets “passed on” Peyton Manning | ProFootballTalk

i'll take meachem

hope we're not done though, my chargers have alot of holes

6.25 per for Meachem? I think we'll be able to get Lloyd at a solid price, if that's any indication.

Oh, and especially if Mario doesn't pan out...poor, poor Buffalo.

The only thing that I agree with is that Woody and his squad are run like a bunch of stoned morons.

What a freak show over there.

Yeah...I almost believe you Woody. You 'passed' on Peyton Manning. Okay.

I just hope they go 8-8 again next year and give him another extension and more guaranteed money.

Jeremy Mincy resigns with the Jaguars. 4 year deal

i wonder if sd is still targeting lloyd as well, apparently they were in on garcon till the end

No doubt.

I think they had to-- as Florio puts it "try and put the proverbial toothpaste back into the tube" with the Sanchez situation.

What a bunch of idiots. They have to coddle Sanchez and his fragile ego and confidence all yr with press releases and kind words...Then they all of the sudden make it PUBLIC that they are in the Manning hunt, only to realize that he doesn't want anything at all to do with them.

So, they really had no choice but to try and show confidence in Sanchez.

Complete circus act over there. I relish every bit of every stupid move.

Turns out the Brandon Marshall situation seems like a non-issue

Statement from Brandon Marshalls Attorney Harvey Steinberg regarding Club incident:

"On March 12,2012 Brandon Marshall was the key note speaker at a charitable event in New York. After the event was over he, his wife and close friends attended a function at a local club.
While at the function a fight broke out NOT involving Mr. Marshall or his friends. While attempting to leave to avoid the melee Mrs. Marshall was struck in the face by a thrown bottle. She suffered serious injury.
While attempting to leave and take his wife to the hospital, the mayhem continued outside. Finally Mr. Marshall was able to take his wife to the hospital where she was treated for serious injuries.
Mr. Marshall is hoping to assist authorities in regards to this matter."

Raiders free agent WR Chaz Schilens is visiting 49ers, and Rams free agent WR Brandon Lloyd also is expected to visit San Francisco.

Hmm...nervous, Pats fans?

Lloyd will be visiting the 49ers. Maybe the Pats don't have a lot of interest in him

Brandon Lloyd to visit the 49ers. per twitter.

To be fair, Meachem just flew to Buffalo, got wined and dined and then immediately signed with San Diego. A visit can simply be used to drive up the price.

Quite possible. Just b/c the fans and media assume a marriage usually = the exact opposite when it comes to Bill Belichick.

Also interesting that the SF team is suddenly attempting to really bolster their WR corps, even despite the fact that A.Smith usually can't hit the side of a barn. Their team is built to run, throw when needed, and play defense.

Crabtree, R.Moss, Brandon Llyod, Vernon Davis.

I wonder if they are still holding out hope to secure Manning? If so, they would be pretty darn good on both sides of the ball, at least a lot better pretty instantly.

Re: Reggie Wayne Re-signs with Colts!

Is there such a thing as a MERCY signing?

Reggie 'The Monk' Wayne.

And I think it's safe to say that Lloyd will give the Pats a chance to match whatever offer he gets. Heck, it could be a situation where the Pats told him to go find the best offer and then they'll base their offer off that.

Jeremy Mincy resigns with the Jaguars. 4 year deal

why can't we get players like that .... :confused3:

why did we let him get away :confused2:

Mathew Slater expected to sign with the Patriots today.

Oh .... that's us ... we signed somebody.

The veal must not have been good.
