Since I can see Andy's posts whenever someone quotes him, I will say to him and to All22PatsFan, you guys are absolutely right. I am absolutely wrong. For that, I will eat a fat plate of crow and call myself an idiot.

It was against the Broncos that Harmon allowed a touchdown.

TE Tamme turns into Manning's security blanket

This is where I made the correction. It was on the last page and I didn't want a post about how wrong I was to get lost in the shuffle of things, so I brought it over here.

Actually if you watch that play Hightower was in man coverage on Tamme, and Harmon was help.

He has to have better positioning then that though.

Even then, both he and Hightower were responsible for giving up that touchdown. His assignment was to help. Therefore, Keyed's analysis is flawed at best since he was wrong on one of the most important aspects of it.

Sure but the topic was Kyeds film analysis. it is standard if you are assinged responsiblity for a TD that you assign it to the guy in man coverage, not the safety help.
At issue here was Kyed's statistic analysis of Harmon's play, which was claimed to be inaccurate because of some TD that in some game that was remembered.
Yes Harmon's help on this play should have been better, but Kyed is correct in not crediting the TD to Harmon. I don't consider this to be evidence that Kyeds numbers are flawed.

No one statistically analyzing assingment of catches to defenders splits the responsibility or charges a safety in support.
Kyed would be wrong to charge that D to Harmon, regardless of the quality of support of lack of it. That is not how it works.
