Notes on the goal-line stop of Lynch:
  • It was a difficult tackle by Hightower and Ayers ...
  • ... that occurred only after Lynch had gained 4+ yards.
  • Hightower has been getting a lot of the credit for shedding Okung and making the stop ...
  • ... but Ayers was crucial too for his effect as Lynch fell forward.
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...hawn-lynch-was-to-scoring-before-interception illustrates the last point. If Ayers hadn't ridden Lynch down, two things could have happened, both bad. First, Lynch might have made a little more forward progress. Second, he might have been able to extend the ball across the goal line.

There's a lot of discussion of the play in other threads, as well as video, but I'm not immediately finding those now.
