This is not a move to add firepower to the offense. He's a big 6'4"-265 blocking tight end. Clearly Gronk's back-up and short yardage blocking guy. Josh had him with the Rams, so there's reason to think he'll be helpful in certain situations.

There's an accumulation of young, experienced depth on the offensive line underway here. Job #1 this week is to keep Brady upright and let him find a rhythm.
