We're pretty serious about this tight end thing, eh.

Makes sense. We will never get caught in the situation we were in this past February. We have two tight end positions, they are important cogs in the offense, and we need backups for each.

Bedard has a nice article on the topic today on the Globe. With Shiancoe down, we needed a backup at Y behind Gronk. Shiancoe to short-term IR makes sense. I hope he sticks. I think people underestimate his production and what he can bring to the table.

He probably won't have to unless someone gets hurt. I doubt they will have 4 active, let alone when one was signed 3 days before the open.

I also hope if they put Shiancoe on short term IR they don't live to regret using that option in week 1. He and Ballard will be eligible to activate within a week of each other.

I still don't understand the love for players who played on other teams whose teams were the worst in football most of the past few years and those players we sign couldn't even make those bad team rosters.

If you can't make the Rams team,can you really be worthwhile?
